| Abstract | The aim of this paper was to analyse the changes in apple production and apple growing area in Poland and in the other big producing countries in the EU. Furthermore, future prospects for apple production in Poland were presented. Apple production and orchard area in Poland have increased for the last 10 years in contrast to the EU main producers. There are changes in the selection of apple varieties produced in Poland and an increase of production of the varieties popular in the EU. The growth of apple production in Poland is connected with establishing producer organizations. |
