Abstrakt	The article gives an economic assessment of the current state of the grain industry development, determinesthe main factors influencing the formation of demand and supply on the grain market. The lack of efficiencyof the mechanism of regulation of the grain market in Ukraine is substantiated on the basis of the obtainedvalues of “market price support” indicators per 1 t of grain and “nominal coefficient of protection of producers”used in the countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Theforecasts of gross collections of cereals and legumes, as well as their volumes of domestic consumption inUkraine for the period up to 2025 are estimated. The state of transport and logistics infrastructure of the grainmarket of Ukraine is estimated. Based on the analysis carried out, strategic guidelines for the development ofthe grain market and its regulation mechanism are proposed.

Abstrakt
Abstract	The research refers on the production results obtained on corn crops (Turda STAR Variety) and wheat crops (Dumbrava variety) (cultivated following corn crops) conducted on an argyle chernozem soil in Cluj County, Romania. The study exhibits the differentiated fertilization systems (the effect of the nitrogen-phosphorous interaction) involved in obtaining high productions of wheat and corn in the reference area. For corn crops the rate of return, as a mean of all the values that derive from all nitrogen-phosphorous combinations was at a very high level, 80%, with a maximum of the individual values reached at the fertilizing combination N200P160, at which the value of the production increase due to the applied dose, reached the maximum value (6041kg/ha). For wheat crops the rate of return, as a mean of all the values that derive from all nitrogen-phosphorous combinations was at a medium level, 58%, with a maximum of the individual values reached at the fertilizing combination N200P80, at which the value of the production increase due to the applied dose, reached the maximum value (2658kg/ha). Corn is not as sensitive as wheat to an imbalanced nitrogen-phosphorous (NP) ratio and responds to this through high productions even for nitrogen (N) overdoses that can sustain high and economic corn grain productions per surface unit.

Abstrakt	W latach 2010–2012 przeprowadzono badania mające na celu ekonomiczną analizę różnych sposobów zbioru sorga ziarnowego. Oszacowano całkowite nakłady pieniężne na uprawę sorga w powiązaniu z uzyskanym plonem i jego wartością. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników sporządzono kalkulację opłacalności jego uprawy w warunkach Polski. Opracowanie statystyczne uwzględniające analizę kosztów zastosowanych metod zbioru wraz z kosztami dosuszania wskazało na nawożenie jako jeden z głównych nakładów w strukturze kosztów. Szczegółowa analiza ekonomiczna wykazała, że sorgo jest konkurencyjną rośliną wobec kukurydzy. Prawidłowa interpretacja wyniku finansowego wpłynie na proces planowania i uprawy sorga w warunkach konkretnego gospodarstwa rolnego.
Abstract	Economic analysis of harvest methods of grain sorghum (grain variety 251) was the main purpose of this study. For this analysis, the total direct costs per 1 ha of sorghum crops with the conjunction of the yield obtained in Polish conditions and calculation of the profitability of sorghum grain production were estimated. Statistical analysis taking into account the cost of sorghum harvesting methods including drying costs indicated fertilization as one of the main costs. An economic analysis showed that sorghum is competitive to corn. Correct interpretation of the financial result will affect the process of planning of cultivation sorghum on farm level.
