Abstrakt	The article assesses the food security of one region of Kazakhstan - the East Kazakhstan region. In the analyses, criteria such as the level of the region’s food independence, the degree of satisfaction of the population’s physiological needs in basic food, and the level of economic availability of food were applied. The research has shown that the food security in the East Kazakhstan region was at an acceptable level. However, some threats to food security were identified, including: a high level of income differentiation among the households of the East Kazakhstan region, an increase in the price index for food products, and a significant proportion of the population with incomes below the subsistence minimum. The results of the evaluation can be useful for creating agri-food policy measures that will ensure, maintain and improve the level of food security at both a regional and national level.

Abstrakt	Celem opracowania jest ukazanie zakresu zróżnicowania sytuacji dochodowej gospodarstw rolnych w układzie regionalnym. Podstawową kategorią ekonomiczną był dochód z gospodarstwa rolniczego Obliczeń tej kategorii dochodu dokonano metodą stosowaną w europejskim systemie rachunkowości rolnej FADN (Farm Accountancy Data Network). Najwyższy poziom dochodu z gospodarstwa rolniczego osiągnięto w regionie Pomorze i Mazury. Regionem o najniższym poziomie dochodu rolniczego była Małopolska i Pogórze. Wynikało to ze zróżnicowania struktury agrarnej polskiego rolnictwa.
Abstract	The aim of the paper is painting differentiation of incomes level of an agricultural farm in regional scheme. The main economic category is farm income. The calculation of that category is done by a method use at European Farm Accountancy Date Network (FADN). The highest level of farm income was gained in Pomorze i Mazury region. Małopolska i Pogórze had the lowest level of farm income. It was a result of the differentiation of the agrarian structure of Polish agriculture.

Abstract	This paper aims at presenting factors contributing to agricultural income level differentiation in the EU. Statistical data provided by the European Commission and French agricultural chambers was used. The importance issue of cost structure for agricultural profitability was discussed. Certain UE member states have a high share of land lease, bank loan interest payments or farm worker remuneration in their cost structures. The significance of the definitional difference between agricultural income and the income of farmers was emphasized. Taking into account income from non-agricultural sources leads to a lower differentiation of farmer income. One of the principal determinants of income differentiation is varying farm structures across member states. Finally, the impact of the construction of the agricultural support system on income differentiation should not be neglected
