| Abstract | The purpose of this paper is to propose a framework that can be used to develop a clear and conceptually consistent, context-specific system for assessing older people’s satisfaction with the experience of food shopping. In particular, I suggest a method for identifying their satisfaction level with the shopping experience and discuss areas of satisfaction and perceived dissatisfaction in this segment of the population. I pose the question: “What are the areas in which seniors perceive dissatisfaction when shopping for foodstuffs?”. I also explore the influence of age and health condition on satisfaction levels. To identify satisfaction, 12 attributes of the internal and external store environments were reviewed by a sample of senior respondents, who were asked to rate the attributes for the food store where they regularly/most frequently shop. While the results indicate a general trend towards satisfaction, areas of dissatisfaction do exist, including with the aspects of price policy, internal store environment and staff courtesy. This suggests that retail managers should pay more attention to seniors, as not all older consumers perceive their needs to be satisfactorily met. |

| Abstrakt | Artykuł przedstawia zróżnicowanie cen ozdobnego materiału szkółkarskiego w Polsce i w województwach. Porównano ceny oferowane przez hipermarkety i gospodarstwa szkółkarskie należące do Związku Szkółkarzy Polskich oraz te niezrzeszone. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że ceny badanego asortymentu były bardzo wyraźnie zróżnicowane w Polsce, nawet w obrębie tego samego gatunku. Zarówno w przypadku iglastego, jak i liściastego szkółkarskiego materiału ozdobnego większość badanych gatunków i odmian była droższa w punktach sprzedaży detalicznej znajdujących się w gospodarstwach zrzeszonych w Związku Szkółkarzy Polskich niż w tych poza nim. |
| Abstract | The article presents the variation of prices of ornamental nursery stock in Poland as well as in individual provinces. The prices offered by supermarkets, the farms and nurseries belonging to the Polish Nurserymen Association and those that are outside the compound, were compared. The study shows that the prices of the analyzed range are very clearly differentiated in Poland, even within the same species. For both coniferous and deciduous ornamental nursery material, most of the studied species and varieties are more expensive in retail stores on holdings associated in the Polish Nurserymen Association than outside the compound. |
