Abstrakt | Głównym celem artykułu było zbadanie efektów wprowadzenia programu „Rodzina 500+” w kontekście społeczno-ekonomicznym. Autorzy preferowali podejście interdyscyplinarne w badaniu konsekwencji programu. W tym celu szczególną uwagę poświęcono na weryfikację i analizę założeń, jakie stawiał sobie pomysłodawca programu. Głównym zakresem badań była dzietność, której poprawa jest kluczowym celem programu. Zestawienie tych założeń z danymi statystycznymi dało odpowiedź na pytanie, czy program jest skuteczny i spełnia swoją rolę. Do zbadania efektów programu wykorzystano dane z lat 2015-2019.Ważnym aspektem była także weryfikacja efektywności w aspekcie ekonomicznym i społecznym. Istotnym zamiarem było także przybliżenie historii programu „Rodzina 500+”, jego założeń, finansowania i zakładanej zmiany w podejściu do polityki prodemograficznej w Polsce. |
Abstract | The goal of this article was to identify and characterize the socio-economic effects of theintroduction of the “Family 500+” program in Poland. The research part focused on checking theimplementation of the assumptions, which were placed on the introduction of the "Family 500+"program. The main focus of the study was fertility, the improvement of which is a key goal of theprogram.The research methods used in the article were: data analysis method - data on the number ofbirths of children in Poland, the fertility rate as well as the method of synthesis, inference andinterpretation were analyzed. On the basis of the data analysis, conclusions were drawn and theirnature explained. This was done in order to reflect on the effectiveness of public spending on the"Family 500+" program.To achieve the intended objective, research and analysis were carried out using selectedindicators and statistical data. Their results allowed to verify the effectiveness of public fundsspent on the indicated program. |

Abstrakt | The aim of the article is to identify Y generation’s behaviour on the food market in the context of dominant consumer trends. The purpose of the article was accomplished by literature studies, information from branch magazines and direct research carried out by the authors of the article. Identification of consumer trends was made on the basis of secondary sources of information, using also the report Top 10 Global Consumer Trends 2019 by Euromonitor International. The report also became an inspiration to undertake direct research, which was carried out using the auditorium survey technique among representatives of the Y generation. The results of research and analysis indicate that the Y generation referred to as "yummy" is an extremely important entity on the food market - large, young, innovative , active, fast, demanding, unique and very important for the supply entities on the food market. The behaviour of this group of consumers determines contemporary trends on the market and the necessity to undertake activities consistent with these trends in terms of the offer, its availability, as well as diversity and price. |
Abstract | Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja zachowań pokolenia Y na rynku żywności kontekście dominujących trendów konsumenckich. Realizacji celu artykułu posłużyły studia literaturowe, informacje pochodzące z czasopism branżowych oraz badania bezpośrednie przeprowadzone przez autorów artykułu. Rozpoznania trendów konsumenckich dokonano na podstawie wtórnych źródeł informacji, wykorzystując również raport Top 10 Global Consumer Trends 2019 Euromonitor International. Raport stał się także inspiracją do podjęcia badań bezpośrednich, które zostały zrealizowane techniką ankiety audytoryjnej wśród przedstawicieli pokolenia Y. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań i analiz wskazują, że pokolenie Y określane jako „mniam” to niezwykle ważny podmiot na rynku żywności – duży liczebnie, młody, innowacyjny, aktywny, szybki, wymagający, wyjątkowy oraz bardzo ważny dla podmiotów podaży na rynku żywności. To zachowania tej grupy konsumentów wyznaczają współczesne trendy na rynku i konieczność podejmowania działań zgodnych z tymi trendami w zakresie oferty, jej dostępności, a także różnorodności oraz ceny. |

Abstrakt | The article substantiates that the contemporary labour market with its flexibility, volatility, high innovation dynamics, as its main features, introduces new requirements for employees. The study analyses the Ukrainian population’s employment, in the rural areas, forestry and fishing, in particular. The study determines the problems of the insufficient level of satisfaction of the employers’ need in employees. The research sums up different scientific approaches to the expectation that employers have to professional specialists. It establishes that employers' requirements for future employees differ regarding their professional experience. The article explains the findings of the research assisting specialists to focus on the core knowledge concerning the practical aspect. The article provides analysis that refers to the set of personal qualities and abilities acting as factors of managers’ compliance with the demands of the contemporary labour market. The findings of the article single out the role and significance of logical thinking as a component of forming successful managers. |

Abstrakt | Z uwagi na wciąż pogłębiający się proces demograficznego starzenia się ludności i znaczenie skutków tego procesu dla gospodarki, w artykule poddano analizie relację pomiędzy starzeniem się społeczeństwa krajów Unii Europejskiej a wzrostem gospodarczym. Celem podjętych badań była próba określenia wpływu starzenia się społeczeństwa na dynamikę wzrostu gospodarczego w krajach UE 27. Okres badań obejmował lata 1996-2016, dane pochodziły z bazy Eurostatu oraz Banku Światowego. Na potrzeby badań uwzględniono podział na kraje „starej” Unii i „nowej” Unii. Za miarę wzrostu gospodarczego przyjęto tempo wzrostu PKB, natomiast uwzględnionymi miarami starości demograficznej były stopa starości (odsetek osób w wieku 65+ w populacji) oraz współczynnik sędziwej starości (odsetek osób w wieku 80+ w populacji). Wykorzystano modele panelowe. Stwierdzono, że demograficzne starzenie się społeczeństwa ujemnie koreluje z dynamiką wzrostu gospodarczego. W skonstruowanych modelach panelowych dla krajów „starej” Unii współczynniki regresji odpowiadające stopie starości i współczynnikowi sędziwej starości wynosiły odpowiednio: –0,446 oraz –1,521, podczas gdy dla krajów „nowej” Unii były równe: –0,153 (dla stopy starości) oraz –0,980 (dla współczynnika sędziwej starości). Oznacza to, że negatywny wpływ starzenia się ludności na tempo wzrostu PKB jest silniejszy w krajach „starej” Unii w porównaniu z krajami „nowej” Unii. |
Abstract | Due to the still growing demographic aging process and the significance of this process on the economy, the article analyzes relationship between the demographic aging of the European Union countries and economic growth. The aim of the research was to determine the impact of demographic aging on the rate of economic growth in the EU27. The research period covered the years 2000-2015. Data from the Eurostat and the World Bank databases were used. The study adopted a division into the “old” and “new” EU Member States. The rate of GDP growth was taken as the measure of economic growth, while the measures of demographic aging included the old-age rate (percentage of population aged 65 or over) and the venerable senility rate (share of the population at the age of 80 or more in the general number of population). Panel models were used. It was found that the demographical aging of society negatively correlates with the dynamics of economic growth. In panel models constructed for countries of the "old" Union, regression coefficients for the old-age rate and the venerable senility rate were respectively: –0,446 and –1,521, while for the "new" EU countries were equal to: –0,153 (for the old-age rate) and –0,980 (for the venerable senility rate). This means that the negative impact of demographic aging on the GDP growth rate is more strongly observed in the countries of the "old" Union in comparison with the countries of the "new" Union. |

Abstrakt | The demographic potential, especially in the peripheral and remote areas, Has been deteriorating. Negative natural increase, low or negative migration balances, unfavourable values of the feminisation index and growing relation of the number of people at post-working age to the number of people at working age have been threatening rural development. The aim of the research was to show spatial concentrations of municipalities (LAU 2 level) with a similar level of demographic potential. The study was carried out for 2169 municipalities (LAU 2 level), including rural and semi-urban (urban-rural, including small towns) ones. It was based on the data from the Statistics Poland. The municipalities were are ranked by the level of demographic potential (by 4 variables) and put into 5 groups by the potential level using the taxonomic development measure of Hellwig. The results were presented in maps using cartogram method. The most favourable and promising situation according to demographic potential is observed in central and southern Poland, especially in semi-urban and suburban areas of large cities. The worst demographic potential level and at the same time the least favourable demographic forecasts concern mostly the Eastern Poland, already known as problem area. The spiral of negative conditions accelerates, causing more disadvantages, making young people looking for new places to work and live, deepening current demographic problems and leading to socio-economic development pathologies. |

Abstrakt | The Polish rural population is highly differentiated in terms of occupational situation, mainly because of the rural population’s involvement in individual farming. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the occupational situation of the rural farming and landless population in 2002, 2016 and 2017 in the context of non-farming job opportunities and unemployment risks. The study consists of two parts; the first one analyses the changes to the occupational situation of the rural population in the labour market; the second one identifies the risk of unemployment in selected groups of rural population. Aggregated weighted data and non-aggregated, non-published non-weighted BAEL (Polish LFS) data was used as source material. The study period witnessed a considerable improvement of the rural population’s occupational situation. However, if there is a slowdown in economic growth, the occupational situation of the rural population may deteriorate. In the short and medium term, people involved in individual farming and landless woman, i.e. the group where the real unemployment rate is much lower than equilibrium unemployment, will be particularly severely affected. In the longer term, the adverse impact of business cycles may also deteriorate the situation of landless men if their equilibrium unemployment level “follows” the real unemployment rate. |
