Abstrakt	The processing of organic products in Poland develops, the number of organic entities increases and there arechanges in the structure in individual industries. The aim of this article was to evaluate the trends and the degreeof changes that have occurred in the number of processing plants and the structure of organic processing industriesin Poland in the years 2004–2017. The analysis covered eight industries of processing organic products.Over thirteen years, there has been a steady increase in the number of organic processing plants, despite thelow amount of organic production and the lack of developed and sustainable forms of cooperation at variouslevels – from the producer to the consumer. The low consumption of organic products (compared to Europeancountries) also shows down and shapes changes that occur in the structure in particular processing sectors.

Abstract	The project aimed at studying basic functional conditions for farms managed by young farmers. It showed that young farmers have been active and susceptible to changes, with consequential farm modernization. In their own opinions, the most important internal barriers in farm development are the shortage of own financial means, too small farm area and poor farm outfit with fixed assets. The most often indicated major factors dominating among external, farm-independent barriers were: too high prices of essential farm-production necessities, inflow of food products from abroad and problems experienced in sales of farm products and services. For an effective farm modernization process, young farmers need support from the institutional environment, including that by advisory and financial institutions, payment agencies, non-governmental organizations and local self-governments

Abstract	The paper aims to assess the utilization of subsidies from EU funds by farmers in small-farm region conditions. The study shows that farmers were actively applying for financial support for their farm business activities within programmes implemented to the end of 2006. It provides evidence that farmers were swiftly reacting to emerging opportunities and did not hesitate to made investment decisions while availing themselves of the available EU funds. The paper argues that in the small-farm region, farms of higher economic strength, those having more economic leverage, were able to acquire more funds for investments, which could increase their competitiveness

Abstrakt
Abstract	Importance of extension ervices in the realization of agricultural and environmental undertakings in Podkarpacie region is assessed. Results obtained from the study indicate that farmers in Podkarpacie are actively searching funds for and participating in agricultural and environmental programmes. Agricultural and environment advisors play important role in that process, mainly by organizing training workshops, as well as by preparing respective applications and agricultural and environmental plans.
