Abstract	The article is devoted to the memory of Professor Maria Okręt-Zajączkowska (1932-2021) – long-time retired researcher and teacher at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (WULS); former deputy director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Agrarian Policy at WULS, and the head of the Department of Economics in this institute, head of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Agricultural Economics, founder and editor-in-chief of Scientific Journal of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences – Economics and Organization of Food Economy, women of extraordinary goodness, kindness and diligence.

Abstrakt	Międzynarodowe doświadczenie w zakresie wspierania rolnictwa przez państwo zostało poddane analizie. W artykule przedstawiono konieczność opracowania modelu społeczno-ekologiczno-ekonomicznego dla rolnictwa na Ukrainie. W artykule udowodniono konieczność tworzenia modeli społeczno-ekologiczno-ekonomicznych celem rozwoju obszarów wiejskich, zmian w zatrudnieniu w rolnictwie, wydajności pracy itd. Na podstawie przeprowadzonego przeglądu literatury potwierdzono, iż rozwojowi społeczno-ekologiczno-ekonomicznemu towarzyszą zmiany struktury instytucjonalnej w zakresie regulacji w rolnictwie.
Abstract	International experience of state support of agriculture is analyzed. A necessity of development of socio-ecological-economic model of agriculture in Ukraine is proved. In the papers is proved the necessity of creation and function of social-ecological-economic model of agriculture development, where a social- -ecological-economic development is characterized like economic development of rural territories, rural employment in agriculture, the efficiency of employment etc. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, it’s confirmed that development socio- -ecological-economical forms of economy are accompanied with modification of the institutional structure of regulation of agriculture.

Abstrakt
Abstract	Livestock plays an important role in food supplying. However, this industry is today in Ukraine in a difficult situation. A gradual reduction of livestock numbers affected both the output and the changes in the structure and range of livestock production. In recent years, there has been a tendency to a reduction of meat and milk consumption in the Ukraine’s domestic market due to the low purchasing power of individuals, which therefore causes difficulties for the country’s food security. In the structure of livestock production in Ukraine, the dominant place belongs to farms. However, small-scale production is not able to provide high quality products and volumes necessary to meet domestic demand. With significant available resources of Ukraine, the country instead of exporting the livestock products has become an importer. The Ukrainian allocations to supporting the livestock production are quite significant, due to budgetary payments and subsidies or rebates in the value added tax (VAT). However, this does not significantly influence either the output or the performance indicators of improvement in the livestock production. All this testifies to the imperfection of mechanism of state support for the livestock production in Ukraine. The global financial crisis has reduced the financial capacity of the state support for the livestock industry. Therefore, under these conditions, there is an urgent need of an efficient use of budgetary resources and of an improvement of the mechanism of support for the livestock production in Ukraine.

Abstrakt
Abstract	In the last years Ukraine has allocated considerable, with respect to their load on the budget, financial resources for agricultural support. However the significant increases of budgetary support do not substantially influence the effectiveness indices nor agricultural yields. Such information testifies to an imperfect nature of the internal support mechanism of Ukrainian agriculture. As the result, the domestic support did not become an effective stimulus for a production quality increase nor for a rise in the stock breeding production. In 2008 Ukraine gathered the biggest grain harvest. Increased production did not improve the financial results of agriculture and did not produce a stable and dynamic branch development because of the negative influence of world finance crises. Unbalanced supply and demand for agricultural production, low buying ability of inhabitants, lack of branch effective mechanism of domestic support caused complications of price situation in the domestic food market
