Abstrakt	Recreational activities pertaining to farmlands are receiving increased attention from both research and practice. One of the major reasons for this heightened importance attributed to farmland tourism is due partly to its potential to advance the local economy and to the benefits it brings for farmers and visitors. Thus, analyzing the role of agritourism in advancing socio-economic prosperity is of pivotal importance. With this background, the paper discusses the economic benefits of agritourism. The results reported in the paper are related to organizations located in Poland and Italy. Agritourism can bring several economic benefits in the countries and regions. What is interesting, the average income from agritourism is about one-third of the overall household income of farmers. Moreover, food service is a crucial factor in the success of agritourism as it brings extra money to farmers. It shows the importance of the relationship between the income obtained from agritourism activities and the benefits local communities gain by engaging in multiple tourism promotion activities.

Abstrakt	The themes of the impact of foreign trade on economic growth has been repeatedly assumed by investigators and were most often related to various aspects: the openness of the economies, economic prosperity, competitiveness and diversification of export. The objective of the research was the evaluation of changes in economic development and the development of foreign trade in Poland comparing them with the EU and some EU countries. Particular attention was given to the issue of diversification and competitiveness of exports by putting the hypothesis that the greater product diversification of Polish export, the greater its competitiveness, which leads to economic growth. The work uses the following test methods: descriptive methods, statistical methods, the indexing methods of which Indicator of the Absolute Deviations and Revealed Comparative Advantages were calculated. Export diversification can lead to speeding up the pace of economic growth. By analyzing in detail the situations in Poland can conclude that it is advisable to diversify of the export structure.

Abstrakt	Trwały poziom zadowolenia społeczeństwa jest jednym z czynników znacząco wpływających na warunki gospodarowania i rozwój. Uznaje się, że jest on pochodną subiektywnych porównań warunków życia (dobrobytu) na danym obszarze z ofertą innych terenów. W opracowaniu przedstawiono wyniki badania zależności między wielkością wskaźnika będącego paliatywem, uznawanego za miarę dobrobytu, produktu krajowego brutto przeliczonego na mieszkańca i miar zadowolenia ludności. Badaniem objęto gminy województwa mazowieckiego. Wykorzystano dostępne dane z lat 2002-2013.
Abstract	The permanent satisfaction on the part of the community is one of the factors considerably affecting the conditions of management and development. It is recognised that it is the derivative of subjective comparisons of living conditions (prosperity) in the given area with what other areas have to offer. The study features the results of the research regarding the dependence between the indicator being a palliative, regarded as a prosperity measure, GDP calculated per resident and the measures of population satisfaction. The research involved the communes within mazowieckie province. The data available from the years 2002-2013 was made use of.
