Ocena zagrożenia upadłością przedsiębiorstw w sektorze rolniczym

Abstract

Bankruptcy as a mechanism of natural selection is an inherent element in business. This relates to all business entities, hence also agribusiness entities. The past research on financial hazards to enterprises did not include financial data of this type of entities. In view of the specificity of the agricultural sector it is worthwhile to consider the extent to which the existing financial hazard models allow to make accurate forecasts of bankruptcy of enterprises. The paper presents the selected early warning models and the results of in-house research, designed to analyse the financial standing of several enterprises with the use of those tools. Furthermore, the paper indicates the differences and similarities in the evaluation of the economic condition with the use of specific models
