Social responsibility of bank – the case of BRE Bank SA

Abstract
The problem of social responsibility of banks comes into prominence in the circumstances of financial crisis. The study presents the issue of social responsibility of financial institution. Definitions of corporate social responsibility as well as specific character of social responsibility of bank were presented. The analysis was extended on the case study of BRE Bank SA, based on CSR reports covering the span of 2006–2008.
