Abstract

Poland is the largest producer of apples in Europe. Statistical analysis of data concerning harvests, yields, age and varieties of apple trees shows the Polish leader position. Visible changes in the new apple orchards are responding to the preferences of modern consumers. Russia and the European Union are main recipients of Polish apples. Though consumer apples are dominating in the structure of sales, also industrial apples and apple concentrate will be supplementing Polish exports abroad in the near future.
