Opracowanie przedstawia rozwój historii myśli ekonomicznej jako dyscypliny akademickiej. Etapy rozwoju określają daty wydania podstawowych dzieł, miejsce tej dyscypliny w programach kształcenia, pojawianie się czasopism i stowarzyszeń.
Abstract
The article presents the development of economic thought history seen as an academic discipline. It is organized around publication dates of major works, the place of the discipline in school curricula and appearance of periodicals and societies. At the end of the 1830s, a French economist J. A. Blanqui published the history of economic thought and at the end in the late eighties J. K. Ingram’s history was released. At the beginning of the 20th century there appeared Polish textbooks including also the history of thought in Poland. The next stage occurred in the 1960s and 1970s. Periodicals and societies of economic historians were established in the USA and Western Europe. It was accompanied by the decrease of the discipline’s significance in the education of economists. In Poland the aforementioned institutionalization stage did not occur.
