Abstrakt | The importance of modern information and communication technologies in the economic and social life has steadily increased. The Internet creates new opportunities to provide services and meet needs. Tourism enterprises are interested in making a big profit from their sales and want the customers to give their preferences to them. The article deals with the peculiarities of Internet use by the tourism services consumers. Determined that the compared to traditional advertising technologies, Internet makes it possible to provide a dialogue with the consumer, to establish feedback and, in terms of investment, it is much cheape. The data representing the social characteristics of the sphere of Ukrainian Internet consumers are generalized. The main reasons and motives for making online purchases by tourism services consumers are indicated. The barriers that hinder the further development of Internet commerce and the promotion of online tourism services have been identified. Quantitative and qualitative research on the use of tourism Internet services in Ukraine has been carried out. |

Abstrakt | The objective of this paper is to evaluate the customer service quality at the cooperative banks in Poland and to test the extent of the customer oriented approach of selling banking services based on the relational model. The customer service level at the cooperative banks was evaluated as low in comparison with the results achieved by the commercial banks. The principles of the relational model and the customer-oriented sales model were fulfilled in 36%. The analysis of the needs, using the feedback about the customer, the customer commitment and the effective sales were the least implemented. The highest level of implementation concerned the principles of comfortable customer service, the greeting and presentation of the offer. The selling efficiency is highly correlated with upholding the principles of a customer-oriented sales model. The study used the Mystery Shopper method. |

Abstrakt | Celem publikacji jest omówienie wybranych aspektów teorii chaosu deterministycznego, oraz prezentacja rezultatów badań dotyczących możliwości wykorzystania narzędzi chaosu deterministycznego (wymiaru fraktalnego, wykładnika Hursta) do wspierania decyzji finansowych inwestorów giełdowych na przykładzie wybranych spółek funkcjonujących na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie. Decyzje finansowe dotyczące inwestowania na rynku kapitałowym są na całym świecie przedmiotem licznych badań i analiz. Wykorzystuje się w nich różne metody i narzędzia badawcze. W celu prognozowania decyzji finansowych konstruowane są rozmaite modele, które nigdy nie dają pełnej pewności sukcesu i są obarczone, zwykle ryzykiem inwestycyjnym. Jedną z nowszych koncepcji wspomagania decyzji finansowych jest teoria chaosu deterministycznego. Cechy charakterystyczne, stany nierównowagi oraz mechanizm sprzężenia zwrotnego w wymiarze czasowym, znajdują swój wyraz w opisie za pomocą dynamicznych systemów nieliniowych. |
Abstract | The aim of the paper is to discuss selected aspects of the deterministic chaos theory and to present the results of research on the possibility of using deterministic chaos tools (fractal dimension, Hurst exponent) to support financial decisions of stock investors on the example of selected companies operating on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Financial decisions on investing in the capital market are the subject of numerous studies and analyzes worldwide. Various methods and research tools are used. In order to forecast financial decisions, various models are constructed that never give full assurance of success and are burdened, usually with investment risk. One of the newer concepts of financial decision support is the theory of deterministic chaos. Characteristics, imbalances and feedback mechanisms in the time dimension find their expression in the description using dynamic non-linear systems. |

Abstract | The aim of this work was to explore employee evaluation as they are used in organizations. The research method was a survey, and the research tool was a questionnaire. Results from the studies show that there is a discrepancy between employee expectations of the evaluation processes and their real effects. This can cause employees to feel a sense of injustice with regard to evaluations, which, according to research, is quite common. A lack of analysis of the evaluation practice from the organizational perspective was a substantial limitation of the research conducted for this article. Nevertheless, conclusions from the research can be used as pointers in creating and correcting evaluation systems in organizational practice. |

Abstrakt | Celem tych badań było dokonanie oceny przyjętych celów Wspólnej Polityki Rolnej (WPR) w odniesieniu do rolnictwa. Kryteriami jej oceny są podział wartości dodanej netto oraz okres zwrotu aktywów w badanych latach i klasach gospodarstw wg ESU. Z badań wynika, że ekonomia podażowa w sprzężeniu zwrotnym z konkurencją doskonałą pozwoliły osiągnąć cele konsumentów żywności. Podział wartości dodanej netto między gospodarstwa trudno nazwać sprawiedliwym mimo, że środki finansowe na rozwój rolnictwa mają charakter społeczny. Partycypacja w podziale wartości dodanej netto była tym wyższa im większym potencjałem produkcyjnym (aktywa) dysponowało gospodarstwo. Taki podział z ekonomicznego i społecznego punktu widzenia trudno uznać za właściwy ponieważ okres zwrotu aktywów w gospodarstwach o wielkości >100 ESU był dłuższy niż w gospodarstwach o wielkości od 16 do 100 ESU. Ten niekorzystny trend był szczególnie widoczny w latach 2008-2010 czyli w okresie kryzysu gospodarczego. Kondycja ekonomiczna tych dużych gospodarstw podobnie jak przedsiębiorstw determinowana jest przez wahania rynku kapitałowego, co nie służy stabilizacji bezpieczeństwa żywnościowego. |
Abstract | The purpose of the research was to assess the agreed objectives of Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for agriculture. The criteria for the assessment are the distribution of net value added and the payback period of assets in the analysed period and the classes of agricultural holdings by ESU. The research shows that supply economics in feedback with perfect competition allowed food consumers to reach their objectives. Although financial support for agriculture development has a social character, the distribution of net value added among agricultural holdings hardly seems fair. The higher the production potential (assets) of an agricultural holding, the greater participation in the distribution of net value added was. Such division is hardly fair from both an economic and social point of view, since the payback period of assets in the agricultural holdings of the economic size >100 ESU was longer than the payback period in the agricultural holdings of the economic size from 16 to 100 ESU. This unfavorable trend was particularly evident in the years 2008-2010, during economic crisis. The economic position of these large agricultural holdings as well as enterprises is determined by fluctuations in the capital market, which does not support the stabilization of food security. |

Abstract | The article attempts to present situation and consumer’s opinion about traditional and regional food market in Poland. It describes past and future potential threats resulting from the initial phase of creation of niche food alimentation market in Poland. The article presents fragmentary results of research conducted within a grant-research project implemented with the financial support of Foundation Cooperation Fund, Agro-Smak 2 Programme concerning the opinions of consumers and their attitudes, i.e. inclinations to purchase traditional/regional products in Poland. The research was conducted with the technical help of PENTOR Research International S.A. This review was prepared based on the primary empirical material collected during two rounds of research – round 1 conducted between September 20–25, 2007 (research stage 1) and between October 4–9, 2007 (research stage 2). The research was based on a representative sample of 1028 and 1032 Polish nationals of at least 15 years of age. The researchers re159 lied on Omnibus type of research using direct interview technique (face-to-face interviews at respondents’ homes) aided by state-of-the art recording and data processing technique – computer record. The aim of the research was to determine the respondents’ level of declarative knowledge of Polish traditional/regional food products and to define a potential group of purchasers of these products, as well as to find out whether the products, which apply for official EU registration, are purchased by consumers, at least from time to time. Questions were grouped in thematic groups. The goal was to collect feedback from respondents concerning their awareness and frequency of purchase of traditional/regional food products as chosen from among the range of different products of the same category available in the market. The questionnaire was also expected to reveal the respondents’ determination to purchase the products in question in the future as well as to unveil possible assumptions behind not purchasing the products concerned and behind the consumers’ attempts to seek for information on the products under analysis. |
