Abstract
Major foodservice trends have been changing over time in Poland, especially within the last years. The purpose of the paper was an analysis of situation in the foodservice market of Poland at the beginning of XXI century. Nowadays many different factors affect eating out. The most important are: economic growth, demographic and cultural trends, structure of households and their incomes, changes of eating habits, and finally development of foodservice market. The appearance of different new trends and functions in foodservice sector is observed. It is hypothesized further development of foodservice market in Poland as an important segment of Polish economy.
