Abstract
The paper aims to analyze the state of the art and the conditions of development of vegetable sector in Poland and selected countries of the European Union. It argues that the further development of the sector will depend on the dynamics of increasing competitive positions on the EU Single Market as well as taking advantages of EU founds and the level of cooperation between sector’s stakeholders.
