Abstract
The article demonstrated the separateness between liquidity and solvency for the horticultural. Both in Poland and European Union horticultural farms shown considerable excess liquidity. It was not however associated with the use of external financing. With a large capital characterized the industry, this can lead to growth inhibition and reduce the competitiveness of both countries and the individual production units.
