Abstrakt	W opracowaniu przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczące reżimu technologicznego w produkcji żywca wieprzowego. Analizą objęto 50 gospodarstw trzodowych o zamkniętym systemie chowu. Z badań wynika, że w części gospodarstw w Polsce, specjalizujących się w chowie trzody chlewnej, nie są spełniane wszystkie wymogi w zakresie technologii produkcji i dobrostanu zwierząt. Więcej uwagi rolnicy przywiązują do prawidłowego żywienia zwierząt niż do warunków ich utrzymania. Najwięcej informacji na temat technologii produkcji dostarczają rolnikom pracownicy ośrodków doradztwa rolniczego.
Abstract	The paper aims to present the basic requirements of technological regime in production of pigs for slaughter and areas in which this regime is not kept. The analysis covered 50 agricultural farms with closed system of breeding which kept more then 50 sows or produce more then 1000 pigs. The research shows that part of farms specialized in pig production do not keep all requirements of chosen technology. More attention is paid for proper feeding that to he conditions of animals keeping. It shows that keeping the technological regime might improve the economic results of those farms. The basic source of information about the technology for farmers is extension service. Solely farmers are using knowledge directly delivered by universities and agricultural schools, which indicates the need of better connection science and practice.

Abstrakt	Na podstawie badań kwestionariuszowych przeprowadzonych w okresie marzec . kwiecień 2009 przedstawiono możliwości tworzenia i funkcjonowania aliansu w formie partnerstwa wertykalnego, jako modelu powiązań rolnictwa z handlem i przetwórstwem rolnym, w którym główną rolę odgrywa grupa producentów rolnych. Podstaw ą przetrwania i odniesienia sukcesu w działalności grupy producentów rolnych jest uświadomienie sobie logiki partnerstwa oraz wzajemnego zaufania, które są podstawą wprowadzania udoskonaleń lub też innowacji produktowych, a także stosowanie przez zarządy grup koncepcji uczenia się organizacji.
Abstract	Based on questionnaire surveys conducted during the March-April 2009, author provides the possibility of setting up and operating alliance in the form of vertical partnership as a model for agricultural trade and agricultural processing in which the central role is played by a group of agricultural producers. Analysis of the data shows that the group of agricultural producers can function as a link of alliances in the form of vertical partnership, and through the usage of the economics of scale can increase own market power. The basis for the survival and succeed in the activities of the farmers is to raise awareness of the logic of partnership and mutual trust, which are the basis for introducing improvements or product innovations, and the concept of learning organizations used by the board.

Omówiono otoczenie wewnętrzne i zewnętrzne gospodarstwa, mające wpływ na kontakty z otoczeniem. Badania przeprowadzono w 225 gospodarstwach o zróżnicowanych typach produkcyjnych i wielkości ekonomicznej. Stwierdzono różnice w regionie zależne od wykształcenia kierowników gospodarstw i zróżnicowania przestrzennego.
Abstract	The paper aims to analyze factors determining connections between agricultural enterprises and their environment. The elements of the socio-economical environment were described in light of their influence on farm production and decision making process. The research was conducted on 225 farms characterized by different production type and economic size based on FADN database. Additionally the questionnaire based interviews were conducted. The paper argues that the strength of connections of farms with their environment increase while the education level of farm owners is increasing.

The correct utilization of capital in enterprise requires continuous monitoring of the financial effects of its performance in aspect of possessed assets. It leads to formulating the establish definitions in relation to economic quantities which helps to identify the major efficient financing sources in company activity. The methods and analysis tools should asses the most profitable level of loan capital and assure possibility to create the early warning system before financial losses appear in enterprise.

Abstract	The objective of the analysis was an attempt to identify and evaluate utilization of material outlays incurred on production purposes at individual farms characterised with various degrees of connection with the surrounding environment. Farms from among the group observed by FADN were selected for empirical research. It was determined that efficiency of material outlays utilization was diversified. Both the productivity of outlays and profitability increased in farms characterised with the higher index of connection with the surrounding environment, up to a certain limit. Entities with the strongest connection with the surrounding environment demonstrated lower efficiency of material outlays utilisation.

Abstrakt	Polityka Unii Europejskiej jest w coraz większym stopniu ukierunkowana na realizację strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju, która oznacza harmonizację ekonomicznych, społecznych i ekologicznych aspektów rozwoju. Szczególną rolę odgrywają tu kwestie ochrony środowiska, bowiem pojawiające się zagrożenia mogą w istotny sposób ograniczyć rozwój gospodarczy i cywilizacyjny przyszłych pokoleń. Warto podkreślić, że związki między rozwojem gospodarczym i społecznym a środowiskiem naturalnym dostrzeżono dopiero na przełomie lat 60. i 70. XX w. W polityce ekologicznej UE akcentuje się konieczność zintegrowania polityki ochrony środowiska z politykami sektorowymi, w tym z polityką rolną. Powstaje pytanie, czy istniejące instrumenty polityki rolnej UE są dobrze ukierunkowane z punktu widzenia celów środowiskowych, a zatem czy sprzyjają zrównoważonemu rozwojowi rolnictwa i obszarów wiejskich. W opracowaniu wskazano najważniejsze reformy WPR akcentujące potrzebę równoważenia skutków gospodarowania w rolnictwie na płaszczyźnie ekologicznej. Środowiskowe aspekty polityki rolnej UE pokazano z perspektywy Polski.
Abstract	The European Union policy is more and more based on the sustainable development strategy which harmonizes the economic, social and ecological aspects of development. The key role of environmental protection in the sustainable development arises from the impact of environmental issues on the economic and civilization development. It is worth to say that the connection between the economic and social development as well as the natural environment was not noticed till 1960’s or 1970’s. The EU ecological policy emphasizes the need of integration of the environmental protection policy and the sectoral polices (including the agricultural policy). The aim of the paper is to recognize the compliance of the instruments of CAP with the environmental issues on which the Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development is based. The paper presents the most important CAP reforms which emphasize the need to balance the ecological effects of agricultural production. Abstract	The article presents opinions of managers on investment processes in small and medium enterprises. In most of examined companies, the financial source of tangible investments was the ownership capital. The entrepreneurs consider this source as the safest and bringing the least additional costs. To choose the financial source, the entrepreneurs pay attention especially to the availability, maintaining the liquidity and lack of their own means to implement the investment. For the entrepreneurs, the new investments serve as a source to increase the production and to preserve the market position. They purchase the tangible assets as new ones and manage them reasonably, making periodic reviews and repairs. The enterprise managers realize the barriers of making the investment decisions and in connection with this, they are guided by an intuition and experience. Abstract	The paper is an attempt at evaluating the degree of accuracy of realization of the project: distance learning centres in rural areas financed from the European Social Fund in the frame of the priority II: Development of knowledge-based society, action 2.1.: Broadening the access to education – promotion of lifelong learning, scheme a: decreasing educational inequalities between urban and rural areas. The aims of the project in question include: 1. Creation and equipment with computers and internet connection, of at least 250 distance learning centres in rural areas (in order to enable the final beneficiaries to use the available distance learning programs) 2. Employment in the centres of qualified staff whose task would be to help using the centre’s resources. 3. Creation by the draughtsman, of a countrywide network of distance learning centres using the existing IT infrastructure with units running distance learning. 4. Enabling the final beneficiaries to complement or increase the level of education in the form of distance learning especially at the post-gymnasium level.

Abstract	The article presents the cyclical changes in the hog market in Poland in years 1990-2004. Time lags of cyclical component of different variables in connection with pork supply and pig prices have been researched. The analysis indicates that possibilities of pig price forecasting in Poland using information about leading indicators do exist.

Abstract	In the paper relationship between method of consolidation of the Żywiec Group balance and its financial assessment in the scope of ratios of profitability, liquidity and efficiency was presented. Connections of mutual claims and liabilities in capital group were various as regards sums of settlement as well as terms of maturity. There were significant differences of value of property statement between consolidated breweries, where there were small differences of structure. Breweries differ as regards strategy of financing an activity. The complete method of consolidation doesn’t change financial assessment of the Żywiec Group, where there were significant changes as regards capital structure. Proportional method of consolidation cause similar links of property and capital relationships to complete method of consolidation. Used method of consolidation has insignificant impact on the level of profitability ratios of capital and assets. The liquidity of Żywiec Group, regardless the method of consolidation, was unchanged. The use of proportional method of consolidation caused improvement of efficiency ratios

Abstract	The Value at Risk model allows answering the base question asked by investor. How much money could be lost with given financial resources involved into given project, in fixed time and fixed risk preference The covariance method used to estimate VaR is static model, but analytic manner of computing allows, after essential analysis, to determine value at risk relatively clearly and quickly. Presented attempt of initiating tool to analyzing quantified risk of investment on real estate market, specialized for capital market, gives observations: a) in the situation of significant growth of investments on real estate market, financed mainly by banking institutions, there is necessity to work out risk models for this market segment, allowing to limit excessive losses caused by too optimistic prices and inappropriate calculations of the effectiveness of the investment, b) well known and used risk models for capital market are basics for connection the both market segments - capital and real - and empirical verification, including investing projects, c) VaR model can be used for determining quantified risk of an investing project, characterized by profitability ratio Net Present Value, but received results should be treated with limited confidence.

Abstract	Common actions play the rising role in today' s world. The integration processes on an international scale influence on the integration processes between branches of agriculture and food processing industry on the country or region scale. There are distinguished two main types of integration: vertical and horizontal; sometimes it is said about diagonal (or cross) integration. It is also said about complete and indirect integration. The best possibilities of development both of the main integration forms exist in an agrobusiness. The agrobusiness is the part of the traditional economy and includes all of the elements necessary to the food producing and delivering to consumers.
