Abstract	The article describes the determinants and the results of estimation of changes in preferences on dairy market in Poland. Determinants of consumer behavior, results of behavioral segmentation and positioning of strong brands are presented. Evaluation of consumers preferences was made upon the results of single sources research (Target Group Index). It was carried out that on the luxury dairy market loyalty is relatively higher than on cheap dairy market which demonstrates the change of loyalty level in connection with market sector and product character.

Abstract	The aim of the paper is to present and compare different variants to choose the form of taxation of income earned by farmers in non-agricultural economic activity. Thanks of study case of selected farmer, it was shown measurable financial benefits that the farmer can obtain as taxpayer. It depends on the choice of the proper method of taxation of income. It is shown that the choice of optimal form of taxation is individual for every entrepreneur. It depends on the factors affecting the manner of calculating the tax. The study presents the opinions of 50 farmers from the Podlaskie voivoidship on experience related to conducting nonagricultural economic activities. The results of research, which show that respondents usually choice general principles of the tax scale. Respondents – mostly agricultural producers – decide on the selection of accounting for income taxes after receiving information from accounting office. Later this accounting office keep accounts for this farmers.

It is worth emphasizing that different models give signifi cant discrepancies.

Abstract	The article discusses the problem of evaluation of the effectiveness of the links between scientific sector units and enterprises. The authoress emphasizes its importance to the evaluation of domestic innovation policy and improvement in its effectiveness. The analysis of effectiveness of the links between those units is hindered because of occurrence of many impediments and limitations, presented elaborately in the article. Proper methodology of evaluation of the effectiveness of the connections between the participants of innovation process and the system of accumulation of data about their course, expenses and effects are due to be created. Modern methods of evaluation of the innovativeness are due to be used. The possession of proper and the most up to date information about the results of actions of innovation policy allows directing its future actions and improving the innovativeness of Polish economy.

Abstract	The paper describes how important it becomes to create appropriate standards that are applicable to the operations of socially responsible companies and their stakeholders. Introduction of those standards becomes necessary for adequate presentation and verifi cation of reported data. Portions of interesting information can be acquired from separate social reports and it is often proposed by investors that elements of sustainable development should appear in fi nancial reports. Not all procedures however are formalized and unifi ed while range of presented data is vastly increasing making forms of corporate social responsibility more and more differentiated depending on assumed research paradigm. It is important however to take actions in order to unify presentation and interpretation methods of published data.

Abstract	The paper presents the identifi cation and interpretation of partial financial liquidity strategies according to the risk-return concept in the agricultural enterprises, depending on the rate of return on assets. The research embraces 100 enterprises. The study period was 2008. In the research the substantial dependence between the character of partial liquidity strategies according to risk-return concept and the rate of return of agricultural enterprises was determined. High financial results were accompanied by the high level of working capital, in particular the most liquid assets. The managers of the enterprises that generated losses revealed extremely aggressive approach to the strategy of liquidity.

Abstract	Integration with the European Union was a source of signifi cant changes in the Polish insurance sector. The period 2002–2008 was characterized with the increase of foreign capital investments and the increase of competition from domestic and foreign insurers. One of the most important consequences of that process was the broadening of the range of products and changing of the structure of distribution channels. The goal of the analysis is the examination of the directions and scale of changes in the structure of insurance products and the structure of distribution channels in the years 2002–2008. The research based on data form KNF. PIU i CEA indicate that insurance companies starting to offer more life insurance as an investment vehicle for households’ savings and reducing the share of communication insurance and increasing fi nancial and property insurance. Insurers transformed the distribution structure and signifi cantly increased the sales through the banking network and reduced the sales through their own facilities and insurance agents and brokers. Such trend brings closer the distribution structure of the Polish insurance sector to the structure of insurance sectors in Austria, Belgium, France and Italy, it means countries with the bankoriented fi nancial systems.

Abstract	The elaboration presents the performance and the range of Co-Operative Savings and Credit Unions in Poland. The article deals with the role of these unions on the financial market. Other presented issue in article concerned the aspect of loans and deposit activity of Co-Operative Savings and Credit Unions. The presented research was surveyed mainly in years 2006–2010, and included all credit unions in Poland. The financial results of SKOK were determined by a financial situation of Unions with the highest value of assets. The structure of deposits in SKOK was determined by short-term savings while the loan structure was dominated by long-term borrowings of SKOK members. This relation could influence the higher risk of decreasing level of financial liquidity of Co-Operative Savings and Credit Unions.

Abstract	In the research the attempt to check the influence of levying a tax on agriculture for the economic situation of individual farms from Gostyń province, taking part in FADN (the system of farm bookkeeping). On the basis of the results of that simulation, it was tried to specify the effect of progressive and proportionally - linear tax on the amount of income from farming, remaining to them after taxation. The analisys was made on the group of forty-five farms FADN from Gostyń province, taking into account classes according to area( up to 20 ha and from 20 ha and more), vitality economic ( up to 20 ESU and fro m 20 to 50 ESU) and farm types. It was shown that levying taxes on farm incomes may have the negative effect on income remaining to farm disposal from Gostyń province, taking part in FADN. Especially it is connected with specialized farms and those with high economic vitality, tested in that attempt

Abstract	The aim of the paper is to define the level of fiscal burden in farms in relation european size and type of farming in Mazowsze and Podlasie region, in Poland and also in selected European Union countries. The period of farm investigation covers the years 2004–2008. On the basis of conducted research has been ascertained that farms which had lower economic power (ESU), had the highest level of fiscal burden. In addition, the type of farm – “milk” paid the lowest taxes in relation to their income. Thus, the tax system favors farms, where production is highly dependent on land and high economic strength.

Abstract	The aim of the article was to analyse the performance relationships between the imperfections of the market allocation connected with the agricultural sector and solutions in agricultural policy conditioned by globalization. The main areas of imperfection are described adverting to their misjudgment. The basic agricultural economic problems as well as their changes under new circumstances in the economic environment are paid attention to. It should be emphasized that in spite of transformations and changes of paradigms happening in agricultural policy, still the basic failures of market mechanism must be resolved through the mediation of this policy.

Abstrakt	Celem pracy była ocena informacji zawartych na opakowaniach wybranej grupy produktów spożywczych (płynne przetwory przemysłu owocowo-warzywnego: soki, nektary, napoje), a w szczególności informacji mających wpływ na kształtowanie wiedzy żywieniowej konsumentów. Badania zostały przeprowadzone w sklepach detalicznych dwóch sieci handlowych, przy pomocy techniki obserwacji, z użyciem karty identyfikacyjnej oznakowania wyrobu. Badania pozwoliły na sformułowanie kilku istotnych wniosków. Informacja zamieszczana na opakowaniach ocenianych produktów jest w większości przypadków poprawna, jasna, czytelna i zrozumiała, za wyjątkiem informacji o partii produkcyjnej oraz nazwie produktu, w przypadku napojów owocowych. Ponadto, informacja podawana na opakowaniach soków, nektarów i napojów w większości przypadków była przyjazna konsumentowi, ponieważ uwzględnia ona informacje ważne z punktu widzenia edukacji żywieniowej konsumenta. Najczęściej występującą tego rodzaju informacją była informacja o wartości odżywczej
Abstract	The aim of the paper was to evaluate the information included on packaging of selected food products (liquid fruit-vegetable goods like juices, nectars, drinks), especially information having influence on the formation of consumers dietary knowledge. The research was conducted in shops of two retail trade networks with the use of an observation technique applying an identification card of product labeling. The conducted studies allowed to draw a few of relevant conclusions. Information included on packaging of evaluated products in most of cases is appropriate, clear, readable and comprehensible with the exception of information on the production batch and name of the product in case of fruit drinks. Information on juices, nectars and drinks packaging is in most cases consumer friendly, because of including dietary information having influence on the nutritional education of consumers. The most frequent information of this kind was the nutritional value information.

Abstrakt	W opracowaniu zaprezentowano wyniki badań własnych i badań innych autorów nad aktywnością zawodową ludności wiejskiej. Wybrane zostały te ich elementy, które można interpretować w kontekście jednej ze współczesnych teorii rynku pracy, mianowicie teorii „swoich” i „obcych” (insider-outsider theory), zakładającej znaczne koszty wymiany zatrudnionych „swoich” na pretendujących do zatrudnienia „obcych”. Jednym z ważnych reperkusji takiego podejścia jest założenie o wyższym prawdopodobieństwie odpływu z zatrudnienia osób o mniejszej stabilności zatrudnienia (np. ludzi młodych, kobiet, osób o niskich kwalifikacjach), a co za tym idzie ich mniejsze szanse na odpływ z bierności zawodowej do zatrudnienia. Przegląd wyników badań potwierdza wpływ statusu w rodzinie oraz przekładającego się na niego wieku, a także wykształcenia czy dodatkowych kwalifikacji na prawdopodobieństwo aktywności zawodowej, co może być konsekwencją prawidłowości leżących u podstaw teorii „swoich i obcych”.
Abstract	The paper presents results of own research as well as research of other researchers in the field of economic activity of rural inhabitants. Their elements which could be possibly interpreted from the perspective of the ‘insider-outsider’ theory were selected. This theory assumes that there are significant costs of ‘outsiders’ employment as compared to the costs of contemporary employees (‘insiders’). As a consequence there is a higher probability of an outflow of people of lower employment stability (for example younger people, women, and persons with lower qualifications) from the economic activity. A review of research results confirms that a position in a family, age as well as education level or some additional qualifications determine the economic activity of rural inhabitants, which can be associated with the assumptions of the ‘insider-outsider’ theory.

Abstrakt	W pracy przedstawiono działania ekologizacje, jakie są prowadzone w przedsiębiorstwach mleczarskich na terenie Wielkopolski. Badaniom ankietowym poddano 32 jednostki, wśród których występowały przedsiębiorstwa małe, średnie i duże. Respondenci odpowiadali na pytania związane z czynnikami motywującymi do podejmowania działań pro środowiskowych, a także priorytetami, czy też barierami takich działań. Przedsiębiorstwa mleczarskie określały zmiany parametrów środowiskowych oraz zmiany w polityce środowiskowej firmy. W badanych przedsiębiorstwach podejmowane są działania pro środowiskowe, których forma oraz intensywność zależą od wielkości jednostki produkcyjnej W większości badanych przedsiębiorstw poprawie uległy parametry środowiskowe, takie jak waga odpadów w przeliczeniu na produkt gotowy, ilość opakowań odzyskiwanych w stosunku do całkowitej ilości opakowań, wielkość emisji do atmosfery, czy też ilość ścieków powstających w procesie produkcji.
Abstract	The ecologization activities ware presented in the article. They were conducted in Wielkopolska dairy companies. 32 units were included in the inquiry, among which there were small, medium and large companies. The respondents answered to questions which concerned the factors motivating to undertaking the pro-environmental activities and the priorities as well as the barriers for these activities. The dairy companies indicated changes in their environmental paremeters and changes in the company environmental policies. The pro-environmental activities are being taken in the examined companies. Their form and intensity depend on the size of production unit. In most researched companies, the following environmental parameters were improved: the weight of wastes with respect to the weight of finished product, the quantity of recovered packaging in comparison with the total amount of packaging, the volume of emissions to atmosphere and the quantity of sewage produced in the production process.
