Abstract	The main aim of the article is attempt of evaluation of more important economics challenges for agriculture. The analysis contained in the article focuses on following questions: the problem of complexity, external effects, directions of support of agriculture. One has stated that there is necessity of developing the researches of complex structure that we can number the agriculture. The regard in calculation of functioning the economic units (on macroeconomics level) and the whole of economies (the macroeconomics level) the external effects, which particularly strongly are connected with functioning of agriculture, will permit on completer evaluation this sector in economic-social system. The future changes in support of agriculture in the EU countries seem to be conforming with regard of the public goods created by agriculture, however there is need the qualification of new instruments of support taking into account the multifunctional of agriculture

Abstract	The paper aims to analyze the goals and directions of changes of Common Agricultural Policy of the EU form the environmental point of view. Additionally 88 Rural Development Plans from the financial perspective 2007–2013 have been analyzed with regard to the delivery of environmental public goods. The paper argues that the CAP increasingly covers issues of environment conservation and protection. The basic tool for that are public goods, which importance is growing, especially with regard to agri-environmental measures.

Abstract	The objective of the paper was to recognize the structure of PROW in the years 2004–2006 and 2007–2013. Moreover the allocation of PROW in particular provinces was presented. The analysis of collected material proves that the most financial measures was directed for the support of agricultural activity on areas about adverse conditions of the management, fulfillment of direct payments and farms adjustment to European Union standards. But, in the 2007–2013 the most financial measures was directed for the improvement of competitiveness of agricultural and forest sector and the improvement of natural environment and rural areas. Abstract	The paper aims to evaluate the usefulness of discriminatory models in the process of running a company. In the work there was verified the efficiency of action of 23 functions estimated in Polish research centers. One based on the financial information coming from the financial statements of six stock quoted companies. The companies had to cope with the bankruptcy crisis in the 2009. Moreover, on the basis of the results of the conducted analysis, there were specified factors determining the appropriate choice of the model to the prediction of the enterprise’s bankruptcy. There was also presented a ranking of tested models with the annual, two, and three-year forecast.

The results show that after the accession the price volatility decreased. Lower values of price volatility indexes in Poland after the accession tend to decrease the price risk of production decisions.

Abstract	Measurements of descriptive statistics were used to examine changes in fixed assets and their sets of groups in agriculture in the period 2004–2008. Studies confirmed an increased rate of renewal of fixed assets, especially mobile sets of groups of these assets in agriculture after entering the UE. Technical progress expressed as an increase of the share of the gross value of the set of group of machines, technical devices and tools and the set of group of means of transport in the total gross value of fixed assets increased only by 2 per cent. Moreover, one could notice changes in the directions of reproduction of particular sets of groups of fixed assets.

Abstract	The paper deals methods of solid biomass estimation for energy purposes. Several ways of estimations are available at present what causes discrepancy in the figures. In the article useful methods were described for local government units, and enterprises interested in using biomass for energy purposes. Estimation methods of wood, straw and energy crops were presented. Estimating of resources of renewable sources, especially biomass, could became a significant practical problem, which can be meet by local government representatives, entrepreneurs interested in renewable sources technology development. Methods of estimating have complex and diverse character what could be seen like an obstacle in define raw material sources in farms for instance. Farms have many specific characteristics within technical and logistic organization, are placed in specific localizations sometimes very hard to cultivate because of agro technical factors. Those conditions dot not exclude the possibility of biomass estimating in the scale of province, poviat, commune or even in single farm. The present estimating methods need to be adopted by preparing common measuring standards which allows to prepare reliable calculations of biomass for fuel and energy sector. Methods of estimating are improving during process of research and current updating.

Title	Non-cash settlements of SMEs from the agri-business sector

Abstract	The aim of the paper is characteristics and assessment of financial behaviours of micro, small and medium sized enterprises in the agribusiness sector on the non-cash settlements market. As results from the investigations the analyzed enterprises are characterized by a high degree of non-cash settlement forms utilization. However, the discussed agribusiness enterprises use only the basic settlement instruments for handling payments with dominant transfer order. On average, each made 20 money transfers per month. Most of the realized transfers (60%) were electronic funds transfers. Pay cards are also an important settlement instrument (48%). The results of the investigations suggest that both the fact of possessing a business bank card by the entrepreneurs and the frequency of its use depend on the place where the entity operates and kind of bank in which the fi rm has its current account. Pay card is more popular in the client group of commercial banks and among the businessmen who operate in the urbanized areas. Apart from the funds transfer in paper or electronic form and cards, the other non-cash payment instruments (checks, letters of credit, and order to pay or collection) were not used by the analyzed group of enterprises owing to the fact that they were operating on domestic markets.

Abstract	An assessment of creditworthy of poultry trade company was carried out according to methodology used in cooperative bank in which analyzed company was taken loan. Data are connected with a loan period i.e. 2006–2022. The purpose of creditworthy assessment is risk estimation which take the bank providing the loan. Creditworthy may be evaluated on the basic or full range. An assessment of creditworthy is procedural action compatible with bank instructions. Firstly the chosen indices are analyzed and then they are compared with indices for particular trade or previous years. Indices of profitability, efficiency, indebtedness and debt service were calculated. Situation of considerable farm according to bank was satisfactory so decision about the loan was positive.

Title	The application of technical analysis tools in price predictions on the wheat futures market

Abstract	The aim of the paper is to show that advanced technical analysis tools which are based on the Fibonacci ratios can be used to identify the trend’s direction on the wheat futures market. The research methods are based on the identification of the support and resistance levels using the selected tools for technical analysis. The data used in study cover the period form October 2008 to October 2010. The analysis has been carried out in the technical analysis software – XTB trader. The paper discusses the selected technical analysis tools and presents their application in price forecasting on the wheat futures market. The implementation of Fibonacci retracements, Fibonacci projections and Fibonacci fan has been shown. The research has revealed that forecasts formulated using the tools of technical analysis are accurate and reliable. It amounts that the technical analysis is effective in price predictions on the wheat futures market or there is sufficiently large number of market’s participants who use technical analysis and by applying the same tools and methods they push the price in the same predicted directions. This is so called self-fulfilling prophecy.
