Abstract	Making proper decisions by people who manage enterprises is not an easy work, therefore there is a large demand for the analytical information. The financial ratio analyse is conducted in most of enterprises. However, only its extension by the causal analysis enables to define factors that influence changes in economical phenomena of enterprises. The aim of this work is an attempt to assess the factors which are most powerful in affecting the financial result of the analyzed firms as well as an estimation of the management efficiency based on the conducted research. The partial differences method has been used in the Du Pont analysis model. The study comprised the years 2002–2006. The confectionery companies: Jutrzenka, Mieszko and Wawel, all three quoted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange were analyzed. There have been conducted two types of analysis. The financial ratio analysis and the causal analysis based on the Du Pont model. Obtained results can be used to estimate the financial situation of firms and to make optimal managerial decisions.

Abstract	Joint stock companies from food sector quoted at the end of 2006 at the Stock Exchange in Warsaw have been gaining better and better financial results after the deterioration of economic situation, which took place at the beginning of this decade. It is possible to notice decided improvement of property and financial situation after 2004, it means after Polish joining the European Union. Thanks to investments made by the investigated companies before the access and opening new markets the improvement of the level of chosen factors of financial analysis was done. It confirms increase of sales and property management effectiveness.

Abstract	Bankruptcy as a mechanism of natural selection is an inherent element in business. This relates to all business entities, hence also agribusiness entities. The past research on financial hazards to enterprises did not include financial data of this type of entities. In view of the specificity of the agricultural sector it is worthwhile to consider the extent to which the existing financial hazard models allow to make accurate forecasts of bankruptcy of enterprises. The paper presents the selected early warning models and the results of in-house research, designed to analyse the financial standing of several enterprises with the use of those tools. Furthermore, the paper indicates the differences and similarities in the evaluation of the economic condition with the use of specific models

W celu utrzymania określonego poziomu kapitału obrotowego netto spółdzielnia konsumencka powinna brać udział w tworzeniu spółdzielni kredytowych, które pozwolą na: szybkie uzyskanie pożyczki, zróżnicowanie stopy oprocentowania oraz przedłużenie terminów płatności. W czasach uzależnienia jednostek od kredytów spółdzielnie kredytowe bazują na potrzebie skalkulowania wartości odsetek zarówno własnych, właścicieli, dłużników, jak i zarządu. Spółdzielnie kredytowe mogą być postrzeganego jako finansowe jednostki pośredniczące, zapewniające finansowe i socjalne zabezpieczenie ich członkom pomimo wykorzystywania ich prywatnych oszczędności w celu zapewnienia źródeł kredytowania działalności produkcyjnej spółdzielni konsumenckich. System rolniczych spółdzielni kredytowych w zakresie kredytowania rolnictwa pozwoli na zapewnienie ludności wiejskiej niezbędnych źródeł kredytowania i usług finansowych. Ponadto, może mieć wpływ na bezrobocie na obszarach wiejskich, rozszerzenie zakresu usług finansowych, wzrost stabilizacji finansowej, jak również na poziom zapotrzebowania na gospodarstwa rolnicze oraz na rozwój małej przedsiębiorczości. W ten sposób ułatwi to wzrost aktywności obszarów wiejskich.

Abstract	The paper presents individual farmers’ opinions concerning some suggestions on imposing income tax on agriculture. Assumptions and results of this tax implementation were assessed. Research results indicate that farmers generally are not definitive opponents of the income tax introduction into Polish agricultural sector. However, farmers judged this proposition as being unbeneficial for them mostly since complicated tax settlements and potential inspections by the tax offices. Moreover, they are willing to accept potentially lowest tax rate on their earned income without subtracting the costs of farmer’s own labor and of farm family labor. Farmers perceived potential advantages of the agricultural income tax introduction such as tax relieves and tax exemptions, as well as exclusion of some quasi-farmers from the system. Farmers were also in favour about concept of progressive income-tax and lump-sum tax with lower rates

Abstract	Historical changes initiated in Poland at the end of the nineties, followed by integration with the European Union, have forced Poland to face a lot of challenges throughout the economy. Amongst these, there are those concerning the information systems which assist the estimation of the financial standing of the agriculture sector and individual farms. The article presents the current legal regulations and farmers’ duties regarding financial reporting. The first regulation, applicable to only a very small group of farmers, is the accounting act of law. A larger group of agricultural enterprises have to provide documentation related to profits and value added tax. The third group is those farmers who agreed to participate in the Farm Accountancy Data Network – FADN. The article concludes that despite the various legal regulations which obligate disclosure, financial information about the agricultural sector and individual farms is almost non-existent

Abstract	The aim of this article is to analyse changes in the level and structure of households’ financial assets in Poland. The discourse involves selected economical factors, which condition the method of household investments. Crucial determinants influencing the increase of financial assets worth include the establishment of Open Pension Funds as new entities on the financial market. In addition the growth of Investment Funds sector influenced the increased activity of households in investments. Those changes facilitated households with an easier access to financial tools. Changes which took place in the structure and level of Polish people’s savings were, among other factors, the effect of the general growth of Polish economy. Major role in the development of financial assets’ structure was played by non-economical factors: demographic and psychological. The latter factors exhibit high level of influence during dynamic fluctuations (both increase and decrease) of market index value. Such a situation occurred during the discussed period of time

Abstract	The aim of the article is to introduce the importance of individual forms of agricultural land turnover. The analysis covers land turnover defined in narrow scope, including only ownership changes of land possession. The research covers the span 1990–2006. The analysis shows, that in examined period the importance of market and non-market agricultural land turnover changed. In the year 1990 non-market transaction amounted to 71% of total agricultural land transactions, and next, starting from the mid-nineties the share of them stabilised at the level of 45–50%. The liberalization of the agricultural land turnover after 1990 had revived private land market. In 2006 82% of market transactions was reached between private individuals, and in 18% public sector participated.

Abstrakt
Abstract	The problem of effective using of gated out budgetary funds in agrarian sector is discussed. An offer of development of a procedure which should consider potential productivity of each region and agricultural organization and promote a decrease of differences between enterprises and territories on a level of economic development is presented. Besides it is necessary to consider the future membership of Belarus in the World Trade Organization (WTO). Entering condition in this organization for the agrarian sector is a removal of budget assignments on financing exports and a limitation of level of the state support for agriculture.
