Abstrakt	W pracy zaprezentowano, jak kształtowała się konkurencyjność wielkopolskich przedsiębiorstw mleczarskich ze względu na stosowaną gospodarkę wodno-ściekoweą po wstąpieniu Polski do UE. Badaniom ankietowym poddano 32 jednostki wśród których występowały przedsiębiorstwa małe, średnie i duże. Przeważająca większość przedsiębiorstw odnotowała wzrost pozycji konkurencyjnej, który związany jest z małym wzrostem potencjału konkurencyjności. Większość przedsiębiorstw w badanym okresie wdrożyła działania mające ograniczać zużycie wody i ilość wytwarzanych ścieków. Ograniczenie zużycia wody wywołuje przede wszystkim niewielki przyrost oceny potencjału konkurencyjności
Abstract	The paper presents the competitiveness of dairy enterprises in the Wielkopolska region in terms of the adopted water supply and sewage disposal systems after the Poland’s accession to the EU. A survey was conducted on 32 entities, among which there were small, medium-sized and large enterprises. A vast majority of the enterprises recorded an increase in their competitive standing, which is connected with a small increase in the competitive potential. Most enterprises in the analysed period implemented actions in order to reduce water consumption and the amount of produced sewage. An increased reduction of water consumption results first of all in a slight increase in the evaluated competitive potential

Abstrakt	Gospodarstwa ogrodnicze w Polsce łączy z unijnymi wysoki poziom aktywów trwałych w strukturze majątku, jak również duża kapitałochłonność produkcji. Dominują przede wszystkim ziemia wraz z uprawami trwałymi i budynki. Podstawową różnicę stanowi jednak sposób ich wykorzystania, przekładający się na efekty produkcyjne. Pod tym względem ogrodnicy polscy prezentują się bardzo niekorzystnie, a na dodatek nie zaobserwowano z upływem czasu znaczącej poprawy sytuacji.
Abstract	Horticultural farms in Poland resemble those in the other countries in the EU with respect to a high share of fixed assets in the asset structure as well as a high capital intensity of production. In the assets structure dominate above all the land together with perennial plantations and buildings. The basic difference lies in the way they are being used which results in their productivity. In this aspect Polish farmers come off very negatively and with the lapse of time no significant improvement in the situation has been observed

This article presents the basic issues related with the relationship between the business ethics and the corporate social responsibility as well as the essence of the concept. Abstract	The role of repayable sources in financing local governments’ expenditure in rural areas in Poland was examined. The analyses showed that during years 2005-2009 the expenditure of local governments in rural areas was rising. An especially high increase was observed in 2009. The shares of the investment expenditure in total expenditure were at 20% for 2005-2008 but in 2009 it rose noticeably. The local governments use credits, loans and municipal bonds for financing expenditure. Except for 2009, the ‘new’ credits and loans financed mainly repayment of ‘old credits’, only in 2009 less than 50% of ‘new credits’ value was used for repaying old debts. The debt of local governments in rural areas rose quickly but in examined years the payments of interest were not a problem and took less than 1% of budget incomes. In the future, it can change because of the expected increase of debts and, moreover, the interest rates could rise noticeably

Abstract	The Common Agriculture Policy’s Fruit Scheme and School Milk Program are EU-wide institutional attempts to encourage consumption of selected food products among children by increasing their availability in schools. The number of pupils participating in both schemes in Poland has reached more than 67% and 38% of the appropriate target groups. Pilot studies, carried out in 2010 and 2011, indicate what products are most preferred by Polish schoolchildren from among those made available to them through the schemes. Circa 86% of the surveyed children living in cities would like to obtain more milk products in schools, especially yogurts. In order to make both CAP schemes more nutrition-oriented the education component should be strengthened since the availability and the price are important, but not exclusive determinants of food choice

Abstract	This study compares the effect of Common Agricultural Policy implementation on comparative advantages of livestock production in four selected countries, namely Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia (V4). The comparative advantage of Czech Republic’s bovine production as well as Slovakian poultry production has improved. On the contrary, sheep production in Poland and Slovakia has lost its previous positive RSCA value, similarly to swine production in Czech Republic and horse production in Hungary. Furthermore, a detailed analysis of bovine production in V4 countries revealed that the formerly successful quality competition was replaced gradually by price competition during the examined period (1999-2010).

Abstrakt	W Polsce po 1993 roku obserwowano dynamiczny rozwój produkcji ogrodniczej pod osłonami. Równocześnie obawiano się o jej przyszłość po zniesieniu barier celnych w wyniku akcesji do Unii Europejskiej. W pracy podjęto próbę zweryfikowania tych obaw. Przeprowadzono badania zmian w powierzchni upraw ogrodniczych pod osłonami w Polsce w latach 2000-2009. Analizowano kierunek i dynamikę zmian całkowitego areału pod osłonami oraz areału upraw warzywniczych i kwiaciarskich, w tym kwiatów ciętych, a także strukturę upraw według grup roślin i typów osłon oraz zróżnicowanie regionalne. Badania wykazały, iż przystąpienie do Unii Europejskiej nie miało istotnego wpływu na naszą produkcję pod osłonami. Od 2003 roku powierzchnia upraw warzyw jest na stabilnym poziomie, a powierzchnia upraw kwiaciarskich wykazuje niewielką tendencję rosnącą. Odnotowano zmiany w strukturze produkcji w poszczególnych województwach.
Abstract	A high rate of development of horticultural production under cover was observed in Poland since 1993. However, economists were anxious about its future after our integration with the UE and the abolishment of tariff walls. The aim of the study was to verify those opinions. The changes in the horticultural acreage under cover in Poland during the years 2000-2009 have been investigated. The tendency and dynamics of changes in the area under cover and their structure according to group of plants, cover types and regions of Poland have been analysed. It was found that our integration with the UE had no influence on our greenhouse production sector. Since 2003, the acreage under vegetable cultivation is stable and that under floriculture production shows a gradual increase. Changes in the production structure in particular provinces were noticed

Abstrakt	W artykule podjęto próbę przedstawienia udziału kosztu zakupu usług w kosztach produkcji w rolnictwie polskim i niemieckim na tle Unii Europejskiej. Badanie przeprowadzono w oparciu o bazę danych systemu rachunkowości rolnej FADN. Analizą objęto usługi według regionów, klas wielkości ekonomicznej i typów rolniczych. Zidentyfikowano ich udział w zużyciu pośrednim, a także ich koszt w przeliczeniu na jedno gospodarstwo i 1 ha UR w 2008 roku. Wykazano, że występuje zauważalna różnica w tym zakresie pomiędzy rolnictwem polskim i niemieckim.
Abstract	The aim of the paper was to assess the share of services in the production costs of in Polish and German agriculture in comparison with all the EU countries. The analysis was based on the Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN). The research covered services according to the regions of the European Union, different economic size classes (ESU) and different types of farming (TF). The services costs share in the intermediate consumption of resources, their value per farm and per one hectare of agricultural land in 2008 were evaluated. It was proved that a significant difference between the cost of these services in Poland and Germany existed.

Przedstawiono problematykę spółdzielczych grup producentów rolnych, w szczególności ewolucję ustawodawstwa oraz problemy związane z korzystaniem ze środków unijnych. W dalszej kolejności rozważania koncentrują się wokół rolniczych spółdzielni produkcyjnych oraz spółdzielni mleczarskich. W uwagach podsumowujących podkreślono m.in., że na prowadzenie działalności przez spółdzielnie rolnicze i kierunki ich rozwoju coraz większy wpływ mają przepisy prawa unijnego oraz sytuacja na rynku europejskim
Abstract	The aim of this paper was to present an attempt to assess the impact of Polands membership in the European Union on legislation governing the operation and directions of development for agricultural co-operatives. It presents issues concerning co-operative agricultural producers groups, in particular the evolution of legislation and problems associated with the use of EU funds. Further investigations are focused on agricultural production co-operatives and dairy cooperatives. In closing remarks it is stressed, among other things, that the activities of agricultural cooperatives are increasingly determined by the EU law and the market situation in Europe

Abstract	The aim of this study is to establishment the obligation to apply (or exemption therefrom) legislation pertaining to taxation that is the category of economic income and economic events taking place at universities in Poland. In carrying out the tasks of public institutions of higher education depending on which sector operate and what is the source of funds managed by what the different ways of applying the principles of management. The entities are schools which, according to GUS were divided into thirteen groups. The study period covers the years 2005–2009. University’s core business is exempt from income tax, tax on goods and services, real estate tax, agricultural tax, forest tax, and tax on civil law as laid down in separate laws. The university is an autonomous entity in all areas of its activity, therefore, may also carry out economic activities organizationally and financially separate from the basic tasks listed. University autonomy is manifested in its actions in regard to freedom of teaching, research and freedom of artistic expression. Liberty University refers to a large extent accountable to the public on highly skilled workers, and to discover and promote the truth about the phenomena occurring in all areas of social and economic life. The tax exemption (in terms of income taxes) of all higher education institutions include basic tasks. Higher education institutions are also subject to the provisions of the Act on tax on goods and services (although the core of their business is exempt from the tax payers are his).

Abstrakt	W opracowaniu przedstawiono znaczenie polityki rozwoju obszarów wiejskich dla przekształceń jakościowych polskiej wsi i rolnictwa. Wskazano efekty wdrażania programów unijnych w Polsce. Zarysowano także czynniki stanowiące bariery w absorpcji środków oraz te, które ją przyspieszają. Zaprezentowano przykłady aktywności lokalnej w zakresie pozyskiwania środków pomocowych
Abstract	In this article the importance of rural development policy for quality changes of the polish rural area was presented. The results of UE support implementation in Poland were shown. The barriers of absorption, and factors of this support increasing were also outlined. The examples of local activity in this area were quoted.

Abstrakt	Przyczyną zróżnicowania obszarów wiejskich są różne bariery: demograficzne, osadnicze, stan infrastruktury technicznej. Najwięcej gmin problemowych występuje na wschodzie Polski, ale są również one obecne w jej centrum. Gmina Staroźreby jest gminą rolniczą, leżącą w pobliżu Płocka. Jej mieszkańcy są gorzej wykształceni niż średnia w kraju, postępuje proces wyludniania. Młodzież gimnazjalna wybiera najczęściej naukę w liceum (43%), jej większość zamierza studiować. W technikach i zasadniczych szkołach zawodowych chce się kształcić po 25% uczniów. Wybór szkoły podyktowany jest przede wszystkim chęcią szybkiego zdobycia zawodu.
Abstract	Differences between the areas are caused by different barriers: demographic, settlement, the state of technical infrastructure. Most municipialities with problems can be found in east and central Poland. The Municipality of Staroźreby is an agricultural municipality near Plock. Its residents’ educational level is under average in comparison with the rest of the population of Poland and the process of depopulation is progressing. Most of the gymnasium students (43%) want to continue their studies in high schools and in the future at universities. The rest of students choose technical and vocational schools – this choice is motivated by getting a profession as soon as possible

Abstract	The article attempts to present basic information about the state and perspective of the development of honey production, consumption and international trade in the world within the scope of the EU especially in Poland. It describes past and future potential dangers resulting from the changes in the honey market in the globe.

Abstrakt	Celem badań jest określenie specyfiki rynku gruntów rolnych oraz charakterystyka głównych determinantów podejmowania decyzji inwestycyjnych na tym rynku. Wyniki badań wykazały, że na rynku gruntów rolnych, w porównaniu z innymi segmentami rynku nieruchomości, niższy jest poziom stopy zwrotu mierzonej ilorazem rocznych dochodów z czynszów z tytułu dzierżawy do ceny gruntu. Pomimo tego, w ostatnich latach utrzymywał się popyt na grunty rolne oraz tendencja wzrostowa ich cen, czego nie notowano na rynkach innego rodzaju nieruchomości. Dowodzi to istnienia innych czynników niż uzyskiwanie dochodów z nieruchomości z tytułu dzierżawy, wpływających na podejmowanie decyzji inwestycyjnych na tym rynku.
Abstract	The aim of this study was an attempt to determine the specificity of the agricultural land market and the characteristics of the major determinants of investment decisions in this market. The obtained results showed that the agricultural land market is characterized by lower level of return on investment compared to other segments of the real estate market. Nevertheless, in recent years high demand for agricultural land and the upward trend in their prices have been continued, which was not recorded in the other real estate markets. This proves the existence of other factors, apart from getting income from real property under a lease, which affect investment decisions in this market.
