Abstract	The main goal of this paper was to research chosen enterprises insolvency risk using discriminant analysis models. In this article characteristic and results of four chosen discriminant models were presented. Calculations were conducted on a case of following stock market index WIG-Spożywczy companies: Ambra, PKM Duda, Elstar Oils, Graal, Indykpol, Jutrzenka, Pepees, Wawel i Wilbo. It is worth emphasizing that different models give signifi cant discrepancies.

Abstract	Competitive environment requairered that the micro, small and medium-sized companies need financial means for investment in new product introductions, technology and organizational solutions. These costs are mainly financed from its own resources. Dominant form of external financing is bank credit. The results of reaserches showed a low level of use of bank credit among SMEs. Mostly, 81.6% of these enterises did not use bank loans. This is due to the high cost in the evaluation of credit and high collateral requirements. It is important that entrepreneurs have aversion to the risks associated with external sources of funding

Abstract	The article discusses the problem of evaluation of the effectiveness of the links between scientific sector units and enterprises. The authoress emphasizes its importance to the evaluation of domestic innovation policy and improvement in its effectiveness. The analysis of effectiveness of the links between those units is hindered because of occurrence of many impediments and limitations, presented elaborately in the article. Proper methodology of evaluation of the effectiveness of the connections between the participants of innovation process and the system of accumulation of data about their course, expenses and effects are due to be created. Modern methods of evaluation of the innovativeness are due to be used. The possession of proper and the most up to date information about the results of actions of innovation policy allows directing its future actions and improving the innovativeness of Polish economy.

Abstract	The paper describes how important it becomes to create appropriate standards that are applicable to the operations of socially responsible companies and their stakeholders. Introduction of those standards becomes necessary for adequate presentation and verifi cation of reported data. Portions of interesting information can be acquired from separate social reports and it is often proposed by investors that elements of sustainable development should appear in fi nancial reports. Not all procedures however are formalized and unifi ed while range of presented data is vastly increasing making forms of corporate social responsibility more and more differentiated depending on assumed research paradigm. It is important however to take actions in order to unify presentation and interpretation methods of published data.

Abstract	The paper presents the identifi cation and interpretation of partial financial liquidity strategies according to the risk-return concept in the agricultural enterprises, depending on the rate of return on assets. The research embraces 100 enterprises. The study period was 2008. In the research the substantial dependence between the character of partial liquidity strategies according to risk-return concept and the rate of return of agricultural enterprises was determined. High financial results were accompanied by the high level of working capital, in particular the most liquid assets. The managers of the enterprises that generated losses revealed extremely aggressive approach to the strategy of liquidity.

Abstract	Problems with financial liquidity are the main cause of bankruptcies of small and medium-sized enterprises in the short term. Financial liquidity is a priority element for a corporate finance manager should pay more attention when making current decisions. The specificity of the meat industry to a large extent is related to the management of net working capital. Identified and calculated the force and therefore a linear relationship between siz of NWC and financial liquidity justifies the need for proper selection of management strategies of net working capital in order to maintain liquidity at a desirable level.

Abstract	The amount of own funds of banks has a signifi cant impact on the stability of their operations and ability to absorb losses. In the indirect way it determines the value of lending activity, the level of competitiveness and position in the banking market. This article aims to analyze the regulations and the scale of bond issuance held by cooperative banks and the role of funding to improve their stability and competitiveness in the banking market in 2010–2011. The results indicate that in Poland and other EU countries, cooperative banks are important providers of credit, especially for SMEs. Raising equity through issuance of bonds may extend the area of operation and increase the total amount of credit and commitment to individual enterprise.

Abstract	Outsourcing is one of the key management concepts in the modern world. It is used as a tool to improve business effi ciency. The development of concepts in different countries is not the same. Abstrakt	Badanie dotyczyło teoretycznych i metodologicznych zagadnień sanacji finansowej przedsiębiorstw agrarnych, zaproponowano definicję sanacji finansowej z uwzględnieniem ekologicznej składowej, określono kierunki pomocy publicznej na sanację finansową przedsiębiorstw sektora agrarnego, uzasadniono zastosowanie zmodyfikowanego na potrzeby przedsiębiorstw agrarnych matematycznego modelu diagnozy sytuacji finansowej oraz prognozowania bankructwa. Przeprowadzona analiza stanu sektora agrarnego obwodu sumskiego w latach 2005–2009 umożliwiła oszacowanie udziału przedsiębiorstw rolniczych, który w 2005 roku wynosił 43%, a w 2009 roku – 32,4%. Uzasadniono, że terminowa diagnoza oraz prognozowanie, a także przeprowadzenie sanacji finansowej z uwzględnieniem ekologicznej składowej umożliwi przedsiębiorstwu uniknięcie procedury bankructwa oraz zachowanie cyklu gospodarowania.

Do głównych przyczyn bardzo wolnego tempa kredytowania operacji leasingu przedsiębiorstw rolniczych należą: niedoskonała polityka finansowo-kredytowa oraz ustawodawstwo, zawyżone stawki płatności leasingowych, niska zdolność płatnicza przedsiębiorstw rolniczych, nierozwinięty rynek usług leasingowych, niestabilność ekonomiczna i polityczna, brak należytego zabezpieczenia informacyjnego. Nie patrząc na fakt dużego udziału w źródłach finansowania operacji leasingu, banki nie cieszą się popularnością wśród przedsiębiorstw rolniczych jako instytucje kredytujące operacji leasingu. Przedstawiono rekomendacje dotyczące stosowania innowacyjnych hybrydowych technologii leasingowych w kredytowaniu przedsiębiorstw rolniczych

Abstrakt	Zgodnie z postawionym celem oraz podstawowymi zadaniami badawczymi w artykule rozważono pytania inwestycyjnego zabezpieczenia rozwoju przemysłu rolno-spożywczego. Analizie poddano dynamikę inwestowania w przemysł rolno-spożywczy w okresie 1990–2008. Sformułowano wniosek o znaczącym wpływie poziomu zabezpieczenia inwestycyjnego na wyniki działalności produkcyjnej. Badaniu poddano zagadnienie zagranicznego inwestowania w rozwój przemysłu rolno-spożywczego Ukrainy. Stwierdzono, że gospodarka zbożowa jest najbardziej atrakcyjną dla inwestorów zagranicznych. Średnioroczne tempo przyrostu inwestycji zagranicznych w rolnictwie przewyższa tempo przyrostu tych inwestycji w gospodarce ogółem, co wskazuje na wzrost atrakcyjności inwestycyjnej agrobiznesu. Określono podstawowe modele nabycia praw własności ziemi przez inwestorów zagranicznych na Ukrainie. Sformułowano wniosek, że najbardziej atrakcyjnymi formami wejścia na rynek wewnętrzny przez inwestorów zagranicznych są nabycie prawa własności gruntu oraz dzierżawa gruntu

Abstract	The Polish tax system does not differ from the tax systems of highly developed countries of Western Europe. It may encourage a balance budget and the projects financed by the state to modernize national economy. These opportunities are not fully utilized due to too large share of fixed expenditure in the state budget. In Poland, the main objective of privatization was to obtain funds for current expenses or funding deficit in the state budget. Privatisation in Poland was too little used as a tool to repair public finances. For example, did not apply the techniques of exchange foreign debt for shares in privatized enterprises. In this way, the Treasury got rid of most of the their property, which had at the beginning of the process of transition, failed to achieve long-term benefits. The plan of consolidation of government finances for the years 2011–2012 using the same strategy. So, once again, the current needs have been more important than long-term development projects
