Abstract	The elaborations presents the level of agriculture tax in farms which conduced, during the researched period, agriculture accountancy according to FADN system. The article deals also with the relationship between generate sales revenues (total output) and family farm income. The presented research was surveyed in 2004–2007 in Mazowsze and Podlasie region. Farms have been characterized by criterion of cropland area, agriculture type and Economic Size Unit. The highest agriculture tax burden noticed in farms which characterized with the lowest economic power. The level of paid agriculture tax in relation to sale revenues was low and the highest tax burden noticed in group 10–30 ha of cropland area. The visible influence of this tax was perceptible in farms which managed a crop production.

Abstract	The elaboration presents the debt level in relation to possessed cropland area used in agriculture farms. The article deals also with statistical regression model in which as a dependent variable chose the level of liabilities calculated per one hectare of cropland area. The presented research was surveyed in years 2004–2007, in Mazowsze and Podlasie region. Farms have been characterized by criterion of cropland area and were divided into six groups according to classification of PL-FADN. The regression models, estimated in elaborations showed that a variable of debt calculated per hectare of cropland area influenced on the degree of financial leverage and supply turnover in each year. It presented specific factors which had an impact on farmers investments decisions. The highest number of agriculture farms, which recorded foreign capital usage in financing structure, noticed in group of farms which noticed over 40 hectares of cropland area.

Abstract	The elaboration deals with estimation of agriculture tax burden in relation to fundamental financial-economic categories in farms. The research was conduced according to Economic Size Unit criterion in farms which participated in FADN accountancy data system. The period of farm investigation covers the years 2004–2007. On the basis of conducted researches has been ascertained that relation between agriculture tax and production output recorded decreasing tendency. It means that the tax system noticed smaller importance which was reflected by the low level of agriculture tax burden index in relation to agriculture income. The group of farms which noticed low level of ESU recorded higher level of agriculture tax burden.

Abstract	The paper deals with the analysis of the relationship between efficiency and effectiveness of SME sector enterprises in respect to size of the employment and fixed assets value. The enterprises were characterized by fixed assets diversity and value of investments outlay. The micro enterprises used possessed fixed assets quite effective. Definitely the lowest participation of long term financing was recorded in enterprises which noticed small value of fixed assets. In enterprises which had the highest value of this assets noted profitable situation in aspect of financial liquidity, whereas the lowest was ascertained in group with an average value of this assets. The fixed assets turnover was higher in enterprises which characterized by the lowest level of fixed assets In these group noticed the highest effectiveness of equity capital utilization. Abstract	In article undertook attempt to asses the financial leverage and rate on equity (ROE) in two agriculture farms which differentiate with the level of cash and financing strategy. The elaboration deals with two types of investments: purchase of a cropland area and animals, which were supported by preferential credit from Agency of Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture (ARMA). The conducted research indicated that the level of cash did not affected the level of obtain financial leverage, whereas it was necessary to take advantage from foreign capital used in farm activity. The survey confirmed that farmers should not postpone investments because it had negative influence on the level of possible losses

Abstrakt	Artykuł dotyczy analizy przestrzennej ogólnego poziomu rolnictwa w Polsce oraz poziomu aktywności gospodarstw rolnych w zakresie pozyskiwania środków UE. Wyniki przedstawiono w formie średniej wartości znormalizowanej, a różnicę między nimi określono jako wskaźnik oddziaływania absorpcji funduszy UE na poziom rolnictwa. Przeprowadzona analiza wykazała, że pozytywne oddziaływanie środków UE na rolnictwo (poziom aktywności rolników był wyższy od poziomu rozwoju rolnictwa) szczególnie wyraźnie zaznacza się w województwach kujawskopomorskim, lubelskim, pomorskim i świętokrzyskim
Abstract	The article deals with a spatial analysis of the general condition of Polish agriculture and the level of farmers’ activity in obtaining subsidies from the EU funds. The results have been presented in the form of an average standardized value while the difference between them has been interpreted as an indicator of influence of the EU funds on the level of agricultural development. The analysis indicates that a positive influence of the EU funds on agriculture (farmers’ activity level exceeded the agricultural development level) was most conspicuous in the following voivodeships: Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Lublin, Pomeranian and Świętokrzyskie.

Abstrakt	W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nad efektywnością produkcji mleka gospodarstw należących do EDF. W badaniach wykorzystano metodę DEA obliczającą relatywną efektywność analizowanych gospodarstw. Badaniami objęto 246 gospodarstw z 255 należących do EDF. W 2006 r. przeciętny wskaźnik efektywności technicznej VRS w modelu ukierunkowanym na input obliczony dla zbiorowości całkowitej EDF wyniósł 0,852 i efektywne były tylko gospodarstwa w Republice Czeskiej. Wynik ten oznacza, że badane gospodarstwa powinny zmniejszyć poziom analizowanych kosztów o 14,8%. W 2006 r. przeciętny wskaźnik efektywności skali obliczony dla wszystkich gospodarstw EDF wyniósł 0,968 i żaden z badanych krajów nie wykazał efektywnej skali produkcji mleka. W rankingu efektywności gospodarstw przeprowadzonym dla zbiorowości ogólnej badanych gospodarstw EDF pierwsze miejsce zajęły dwa gospodarstwa ze Szwajcarii, kolejne miejsca w rankingu zajęły gospodarstwa z Republiki Czeskiej, Polski, Niemiec i Luksemburga.
Abstract	The paper aims to determine the efficiency of milk production on the basis of data from farms associated with European Dairy Farmers (EDF). The data for analysis was collected from 246 farms in 2006. The efficiency of milk production was computed by applying Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The results of the study showed that the average of coefficient of efficiency (VRS) was in 2006 0,852 and average of coefficient of efficiency of scale was 0,968. The following farms were highly classified in the ranking of efficiency starting with: Switzerland (CH-47725, CH-47721), Czech Republic (CZ-4719) and Poland (PL-45732).

Abstrakt	Przedstawiono analizę efektywności spółdzielni mleczarskich w zależności od wielkości skali produkcji. Spółdzielnie poddano analizie porównawczej według takich miar efektywności, jak: produktywność aktywów, efektywność płacy, rentowność aktywów, rentowność sprzedaży, rentowność kapitału własnego, wskaźnik efektywności Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) oraz Indeks Malmquista. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, że wraz ze wzrostem skali poprawie ulega: efektywność płacy, rentowność sprzedaży, rentowność aktywów, rentowność kapitału własnego oraz wskaźnik efektywności DEA w modelu CCR.
Abstract	This paper presents assessment of relation between scale of dairy cooperatives and their efficiency. The analysis based on 333 objects shows that the large scale leads to the higher labour productivity, return on assets (ROA), return on sales (ROS), return on equity (ROE) and efficiency indicator based on DEA (input-orientated measures CCR). However the research does not confirm that large scale leads to the higher assets productivity and Malmquist Index.

Abstrakt	W artykule przedstawiono analizę efektywności skali polskich spółdzielni mleczarskich w latach 2004-2006 z wykorzystaniem funkcji produkcji oraz metody Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Przeprowadzone badania na próbie 170 obiektów z zastosowaniem funkcji Cobba-Douglasa wskazały na występowanie rosnących korzyści skali w całym sektorze mleczarskim. Zastosowanie metody DEA potwierdziło, że większość badanych spółdzielni charakteryzowała się rosnącymi korzyściami skali produkcji.
Abstract	This paper presents parametric and non-parametric methods used to measure scale efficiency. As the parametric method the author applied Cobb-Douglas production function, and as the non-parametric . DEA method. The analysis based on 170 dairy cooperatives shows increasing returns to scale in the Polish dairy sector. This analysis confirmed earlier conclusions of literature.

Abstract	This article presents the ranking of the technical efficiency of the Agricultural Property Agency’s companies in 2006. Ranking was developed for the 59 APA’s companies using a variety of DEA method . super efficiency of DEA, using an input-oriented measure of efficiency and the variable effects of scale (VRS). Model of company adopted for the calculation consisted one effect and four inputs. The effect in the model was y . total amount of sale returns and payments (thousand PLN). Inputs: x1 . costs of materials and energy (thousand PLN), x2 . value of fixed assets (thousand PLN) , x3 . gross wages (thousand PLN) , x4 . agricultural area (hectares). The highest ranking positions: Hodowla Zarodowa Kietrz (big), Małopolska Hodowla Buraka Pastewnego (355.9%), Hodowla Roślin Ogrodniczych Bronisze (202.4%).

Abstract	The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of technical efficiency of studs belong to Agricultural Property Agency (APA) in 1994-2006 using the DEA method and to attempt to clarify the Malmquist.s index and determine the effectiveness ranking of studs. Technical efficiency coefficients VRS were in 1994 0,850 and in 2006 0,958. Average of the Malmquist index was 1,019. The results of ranking were classified in three groups: one is the group of firms with high position in the ranking of efficiency, the next group were studs, which changed the position in the ranking and the last group formed firms, which the lowest positions in the ranking.

Abstrakt	W ostatnim okresie zgłaszany jest pogląd o konieczności wyrównania wysokości dopłat Bezpośrednich polskim producentom rolnym do wysokości tych dopłat w pozostałych krajach UE. W istocie idzie o wyrównanie wysokości dopłat do poziomu stosowanych w krajach 12 lub 15 UE. Celem opracowania było przedstawienie teoretycznych i empirycznych przesłanek leżących u podstaw ewentualnego wyrównywania, lub nie, płatności bezpośrednich. Przeprowadzona analiza wskazuje, że kwestia ta powinna był rozpatrywana na gruncie alokacji i podziału, co oznacza, że wysokość dopłat nie może był oderwana od efektywności czynnika pracy. Stawiana jest teza, iż pogląd o wyrównaniu wysokości dopłat jest niesłuszny.
Abstract	The article deals with the issues of direct farm payments scheme aimed at an equalization of their level between Polish producers and those in the EU-12 or EU-15 countries. Such politically based view has been recently propagated in Poland. An analytical, theoretical and empirical approach is applied to address the issues in order to reject that view. Labour productivity and incomes disparities in agriculture in that respect among the EU countries as well as disparities between farming and non farming activities are investigated.

Abstrakt	W opracowaniu przedstawiono zmiany w strukturze aktywności ekonomicznej ludno??ci, z podziałem na ludność miejską oraz wiejską. Okres badań obejmował lata 1993-2009. Wykorzystano syntetyczne miary natężenia zmian struktury oraz miary przeciętnych zmian wskaźników struktury w ujęciu jednopodstawowym i łańcuchowym. Stwierdzono niewielkie zmiany w strukturze aktywności ekonomicznej ludności w ujęciu dynamicznym, nieznacznie większe w grupie ludności wiejskiej
Abstract	The paper presents changes in the structure of populations economic activity following a division into urban and rural population. The period of investigation covers years 1993-2009. The research deals with synthetic measures of the intensity of structure transformation as well as with average changes in this structure, which were described by single base and chain indices. The changes in the economic activity of population were not significant over time, slightly bigger in case of investigated rural population.
